Regular Season Round 3: TuNMKY - Honka 88-80

There was a surprise result when TuNMKY (1-2) won against Honka (1-2) in Turun 88-80 on Friday. TuNMKY forced 24 Honka turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. accounted for 19 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Four TuNMKY players scored in double figures. TuNMKY's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Alvan Laavainen came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and Niki Juntunen added 26 points and 6 assists respectively for Honka in the defeat. TuNMKY will meet Nokia (#7) on the road in the next round. Honka will play against HyPo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
