The game had a very big importance for second-rankedSeagulls as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Vilpas) loss. Seagulls defeated 12th ranked Kobrat in Helsinki 88-73 . Seagulls dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Kobrat 's 20. Seagulls forced 21 Kobrat turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Kahron Ross (180-1995, college: Lehigh, agency: One Motive Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Center Rene Rougeau (198-1986, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Five Seagulls players scored in double figures. Guard Tai Bibbs (191-1999, college: Howard) came up with 31 points and 5 assists and center Efton Reid III (213-2002, college: Wake Forest) added 16 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Kobrat in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Seagulls (6-1) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Vilpas. Kobrat at the other side dropped to the tenth place with five games lost. They share the position with Lahti.
