There was an upset in Kotka where 3rd placed Karhubasket (4-3) was defeated by ninth ranked KTP-Basket (3-4) 86-77 on Friday. KTP-Basket outrebounded Karhubasket 42-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. fired 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 assists. Four KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. American guard AJ Ferguson (201-2003, college: Murray St.) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Ty Berry (190-2001, college: Northwestern) added 17 points (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for lost side. KTP-Basket moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kouvot and Korihait. Loser Karhubasket keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. KTP-Basket will meet Lahti (#11) on the road in the next round. Karhubasket will play against Kouvot (#9) and hope to secure a win.
