Rather predictable result when fifth rankedKarhubasket (6-3) won against 8th ranked Korihait (3-6) in Uusikaupunki 84-77 on Saturday. American guard Ty Berry (190-2001, college: Northwestern) nailed 23 points for the winning side and American-Nigerian power forward Ike Nweke (201-2000, college: Quinnipiac) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Karhubasket players scored in double figures. Karhubasket's coach Janne Koskimies used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Mikael Aalto (208-1994, agency: Blacktop Management) came up with 26 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Jalen Jackson (198-1994, college: UALR, agency: Diamond Sports) added 14 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals respectively for Korihait in the defeat. Karhubasket moved-up to third place, which they share with Pyrinto and Honka. Korihait lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Kouvot and Lahti.
