Regular Season Round 11: Kouvot - Kobrat 90-88

There was no surprise in Kouvola where 12th ranked Kobrat (2-9) was edged by tenth ranked Kouvot (4-7) 90-88 on Friday. It was a great evening for Brandon Stroud who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Aarni Korkiatupa (198-2002, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Taye Donald (188-2002, college: Seward County) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and scored 22 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kouvot moved-up to ninth place. Kobrat lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Kouvot will meet higher ranked Korihait (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kobrat will play against Honka (#3) in Espoo and hope to secure a win.
