There was no surprise in Lapua where 12th rankedKobrat (2-15) was crushed by sixth ranked Seagulls (9-8) 107-75 on Tuesday. Seagulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. point guard Kahron Ross (180-1995, college: Lehigh, agency: One Motive Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winners and guard Christian Keeling (191-1998, college: UNC) chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Seagulls players scored in double figures. Seagulls' coach Timo Saukkola felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Efton Reid III (213-2002, college: Wake Forest) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and forward Bobby Planutis (203-1997, college: PFW, agency: One Motive Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with KTP-Basket and Korihait. Kobrat lost their tenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Seagulls will meet Pyrinto (#8) in the next round. Kobrat will play against Lahti (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
