The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedKarhubasket (16-5) in Joensuu on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Kataja (11-10) 76-62 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Karhubasket. It was a good game for American guard DeVion Harmon (188-2001, college: Texas Tech) who led his team to a victory with 29 points. His fellow American import power forward Jared Kimbrough (203-1999, college: Hartford, agency: JCK Sports Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American-Nigerian power forward Ike Nweke (201-2000, college: Quinnipiac) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and Eemi Luukkonen (203-2002) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Karhubasket. Kataja moved-up to sixth place, which they share with KTP-Basket. Karhubasket at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Honka.
