The most crucial game of the last round was a loss ofKarhubasket in Kauhajoki on Wednesday night. Hosts were rolled over by Vilpas 98-73 . Vilpas dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Karhubasket 's 26. American guard Jack Forrest (196-2000, college: Bucknell) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. International guard Samu Adler (198-2007) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Vilpas players scored in double figures. Vilpas' coach Jussi Savolainen felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Nigerian power forward Ike Nweke (201-2000, college: Quinnipiac) replied with 16 points and American guard Ty Berry (190-2001, college: Northwestern) added 11 points in the effort for Karhubasket.
