Important game to mention about took place in Turun. Fifth ranked PeU-Basket (10-7) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 9th ranked TuNMKY (6-10) 73-71 on Sunday evening. PeU-Basket outrebounded TuNMKY 54-40 including a 22-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Thomas Ronnholm (193-2003) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds. Swingman Tino Yli-Junnila (195-2005) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. PeU-Basket's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. point guard Eetu Hytonen (175-2005) answered with 9 points and 12 assists and Severi Jalonen added 9 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for TuNMKY. PeU-Basket maintains fifth place with 10-7 record. TuNMKY at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. PeU-Basket will play against Pajulahti (#10) in Lahti in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. TuNMKY will play on the road against Pyrinto Ak.B in Tampere and hopes to get back on the winning track.
