There was a minor upset when 4th rankedKTP II (11-7) lost to sixth ranked HyPo (9-9) in Hyvinkaa 100-106 on Sunday. HyPo dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to KTP II 's 46. They outrebounded KTP II 39-20 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. HyPo looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by KTP II 's players. American Vernon Payne (203, college: IU Southeast) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Michael Pietrzyk (198-2004) supported him with 30 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). HyPo's coach Tomi Moberg used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 5 assists by guard Hugo Stepanoff (186-2005) did not help to save the game for KTP II . Guard Ian Uwamungu (188-2001) added 22 points. Five HyPo and four KTP II players scored in double figures. HyPo maintains sixth position with 9-9 record. Loser KTP II keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with PeU-Basket.
