There was no surprise in Aanekoski where 6th rankedHNMKY (10-10) was defeated by second ranked Kipina (16-4) 101-86 on Sunday. Kipina looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Jalen McCoy (196-2002, college: USC Aiken, agency: Origins Sports Group) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import point guard Jake Hilmer (180-2000, college: Upper Iowa) chipped in 26 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). point guard Lenni Hervola (183-2003) produced 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists and center Roni Vuori (205-2002) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Kipina have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-4 record having just three points less than leader ACO Basket. HNMKY lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost.
