The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th rankedSeagulls ' (14-15) road loss to fifth ranked Korihait (17-12) 73-86 on Saturday. Korihait dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Seagulls ' 28 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Seagulls 39-26 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Frank Champion (201-2002, college: Chattanooga) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Swingman Jalen Jackson (198-1994, college: UALR) helped adding 7 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks. Korihait's coach Ivan Ivanovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side center Rene Rougeau (198-1986, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Kahron Ross (180-1995, college: Lehigh, agency: One Motive Sports) scored 9 points and 7 assists. Four Seagulls players scored in double figures. Korihait moved-up to third place, which they share with KTP-Basket and Honka. Defending champion Seagulls keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Kataja.
