Regular Season Round 5: PVBC - Montbrison 50-55

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Voiron where 5th ranked PVBC (3-2) was defeated by sixth ranked Montbrison (3-2) 55-50 on Saturday. Montbrison forced 19 PVBC turnovers. The best player for the winners was Manaelle Yerbe who scored 13 points and 4 assists. Forward Ysaline Saulnier (180-2005) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Montbrison's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Fabienne Constant (188-1986) produced 5 points and 15 rebounds and Emma Villas-Gomis (190-1998, college: N.Texas) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Montbrison moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated PVBC. Montbrison will meet at home bottom-ranked CFBB (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PVBC will play against Nice (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
