The game had a very big importance for second-rankedMondeville as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Toulouse) loss. Mondeville edged 7th ranked La Tronche at home 62-60 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of La Tronche. Mondeville forced 20 La Tronche turnovers. It was a good game for guard Joelly Belleka (170-1995) who led her team to a victory with 21 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman Morgan Batey (180-1994, college: Vanderbilt) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Mondeville's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Aurore Pautou (188-1982) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Clerine Choron (164-1998) added 13 points in the effort for La Tronche. Mondeville (9-3) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Toulouse and Montbrison. La Tronche at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Nice and Alencon.
