There was a surprise result in Caen where tenth rankedPau-Lacq-Orthez (12-9) smashed higher ranked Calvados (12-9) 98-64 on Friday. Pau-Lacq-Orthez looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American-Ghanian forward Christopher Ledlum (198-2001, college: St.John's) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Micah Speight (178-1998, college: S.Nazarene) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Yann Siegwarth (185-1993) with 12 points and 5 assists and American swingman Wendell Davis (196-1995, college: Ashland) scored 7 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pau-Lacq-Orthez have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Caen and Saint-Chamond.
