There was a surprise result when eleventh rankedSluc Nancy (8-10) beat at home higher ranked Saint-Quentin (10-8) 83-74 on Saturday. Nancy shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Antony Labanca (192-1994) scored 27 points to lead the charge for the winners and Jamaican center Shevon Thompson (213-1993, college: GMU) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Jerome Robinson (197-1997, college: Boston Coll.) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Khalid Moore (201-2000, college: Fordham) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Saint-Quentin's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nancy moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Dijon and Chalon/Saone. Loser Saint-Quentin keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Le Mans. Nancy will meet Limoges (#13) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Saint Quentin will play against Bourg (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
