No shocking result in a game when sixth rankedGries-Souffel (16-11) beat at home bottom-ranked Provence Basket (7-21) 86-80 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Gries-Souffel made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American Shannon Bogues (190-1997, college: SF Austin) who scored that evening 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and center Yvann MBaya (209-2001) supported him with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Even 13 points and 5 assists by point guard Lucas Bourhis (177-2000) did not help to save the game for Fos-sur-Mer . Naturalized Polish Mathieu Wojciechowski (203-1992) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Four Fos-sur-Mer players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gries-Souffel moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Aix-Maurienne. Fos-sur-Mer lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 21 games lost.
