Second Stage Round 6: Metz - Fougeres 64-66

The most exciting game of round 6 in the NM1 took place in Metz. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 10th rankedMetz (8-10) to first ranked Fougeres (12-5) 66-64 on Tuesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Swingman Kevin Bichard (196-1986) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Alexis Thomas (208-1995) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Fougeres players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Romain Dardaine (200-1988) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and center Vincent Pourchot (222-1992) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Fougeres maintains first position with 12-5 record. Metz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams.
