There was no surprise when 13th rankedPole France (5-12) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Besancon (11-7) 61-55 on Tuesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was Luxembourg forward Ben Kovac (196-2000) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Maltese-American forward Aaron Falzon (203-1996, college: Quinnipiac, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Hugo Moukouri (205-2008) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and Nathan Soliman (204-2009) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Besancon moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Pole France lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Besancon will meet Rennes (#6) on the road in the next round. Pole France will play against Metz (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
