There was a small surprise when eleventh rankedPoissy (9-10) beat at home 8th ranked Charleville-Mezieres (9-9) 105-101 on Friday. Poissy made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a great evening for Angolan center Valdelicio Joaquim (208-1990, college: Hawaii) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Sebastien Michineau (182-1991, college: S.Idaho JC) helped adding 19 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Joaquim is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side point guard Rosaire Malonga (188-1995) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and center Jonathan Mkamba (-1999) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Charleville-Mezieres' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Poissy moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Tours and Lorient. Newly promoted Charleville keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Berck.
