There was no surprise when 14th rankedChalons-Reims (13-17) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (17-13) 81-77 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American-Ghanian forward Christopher Ledlum (198-2001, college: St.John's) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Kevin Marsillon-Noleo (200-2002, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Antiguan center Kevin Samuel (213-1997, college: USA) with 12 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and guard Guillaume Grotzinger (190-2004) scored 11 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Pau-Lacq-Orthez moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Poitiers. Loser Chalons-Reims dropped to the fifteenth position with 17 games lost.
