There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedAvignon/Pontet (3-17) beat at home higher ranked Union Rennes (11-9) 98-94 on Friday. Avignon/Pontet made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Avignon/Pontet looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Avignon/Pontet maintains fourteenth position with 3-17 record. Loser Union Rennes dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
