There was an upset when higher rankedAix-Maurienne (18-13) lost to sixteenth ranked Nantes (13-18) in Aix-les-Bains 75-88 on Friday. Nantes made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Kyle Riddley (192-1996, college: Pfeiffer) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 9 assists. American forward Carlos Pepin (201-2000, college: ESU) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard JaCori Payne (180-1996, college: Columbus St.) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for Aix-Maurienne in the defeat. Aix-Maurienne's coach Kenneth Grant tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nantes moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Chalons-Reims. Aix-Maurienne at the other side keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
