There was an upset when higher rankedCholet Basket (17-7) was crushed on the road by tenth ranked Chalon/Saor (11-13) 105-72 on Saturday. Strangely Cholet outrebounded Chalon/Saone 38-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian center Dusan Ristic (213-1995, college: Arizona) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Cameroonian-American point guard Jeremiah Hill (188-1995, college: Valdosta St.) who added 23 points and 8 assists during the contest. Hill is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. The best for the losing side was point guard Gerald Ayayi (191-2001) with 19 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and American center Jamuni McNeace (208-1996, college: Oklahoma) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chalon/Saone moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Dijon. Loser Cholet Basket keeps the fourth position with seven games lost.
