No shocking result in a game when fifth rankedGries-Souffel (20-13) defeated at home 19th ranked C'Chartres (8-25) 74-68 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Serbian swingman Djordje Milosevic (199-1993, agency: PEPI SPORT) stepped up and scored 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Carl Ponsar (203-1997) chipped in 15 points. Gries-Souffel's coach Nebojsa Bogavac used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was Surinamese forward Gavin Kensmil (201-1998, college: SF Austin) with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian-American guard Ike Nwamu (193-1993, college: UNLV) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Gries-Souffel moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Roanne. Chartres lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighteenth position with 25 games lost. They share it with Evreux and Fos-sur-Mer.
