Second Stage Round 11: Pole France - Avignon/Pontet 100-64

The game between closely ranked teams ended with thirteenth ranked Pole France's (9-28) home victory over 14th ranked Avignon/Pontet (6-31) in Paris 100-64 on Friday. Pole France outrebounded Avignon/Pontet 45-27 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Pole France looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Jonas Boulefaa (205-2007) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Yannis Allard (201-2007) accounted for 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Pole France's coach Francois Peronnet felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Guinean forward Abdoulaye Sy (201-1995) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Vincent Ateba (195-1985, college: MSSU) added 17 points respectively for Avignon/Pontet in the defeat. Pole France maintains thirteenth place with 9-28 record. Avignon/Pontet lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 31 games lost. Pole France will meet league's second-placed Boulogne in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Avignon/Pontet will play against Angers (#6) and hope to secure a win.
