Regular Season Round 3: Fos-sur-Mer - Pays Salonais 87-65
Date: September 30, 2025
Not a big story in a game whenPays Salonais (0-3) was outscored by Provence Basket (2-1) in Fos-sur-Mer 87-65 on Tuesday. Fos-sur-Mer outrebounded Pays Salonais 38-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian power forward Martins Igbanu (203-1997, college: Tulsa) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Bahamas point guard Dominick Bridgewater (178-2000) accounted for 18 points and 6 steals for the winning side. Four Provence Basket players scored in double figures. Swingman Cameron Valcy (194-2003) came up with 19 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Alexandre Fanchini (183-1999, college: Colby CC) added 17 points respectively for Pays Salonais in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Provence Basket will meet Saint Vallier (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Pays Salonais will play against Loon-Plage and hopes to get finally their first victory.
