Regular Season Round 7: Champagne - Poitiers 79-86

There was a minor upset in Reims where 9th rankedChampagne (3-4) was defeated by twelfth ranked Poitiers (3-4) 86-79 on Friday. It was a great evening for center Narcisse Ngoy (209-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Marcus Gomis (183-2000) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Poitiers' coach Andy Thornton-Jones used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Canadian point guard Shamar Givance (179-1999, college: UTEP) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Eddy Kayouloud (200-1999, college: Cent Arkansas) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Poitiers and five Champagne players scored in double figures. Poitiers moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Champagne .
