There was a surprise result when nineteenth rankedSaint Chamond (2-5) outleveled at home higher ranked La Rochelle (4-2) 108-73 on Friday. Saint-Chamond dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to La Rochelle 's 32. Saint-Chamond looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for guard Lucas Beaufort (196-2002) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists. Arthur Bruyas (198-2000, agency: BIG) helped adding 21 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Tyler Thomas (190-2000, college: Hofstra) responded with 17 points and the other American import point guard Robert Ford III (183-1999, college: Montana St.) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saint-Chamond moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Evreux and Hyeres-Toulon. Loser La Rochelle keeps the sixth position with two games lost.
