We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 13th rankedMetz (1-7) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Besancon (1-7) 82-65 on Friday. Besancon forced 19 Metz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Swedish forward David Hook (197-1999, college: E.Wyoming) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds and Hugo Cluysen (203-1998, college: NAIT) who added 16 points during the contest. Besancon's coach Laurent Kleefstra allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. point guard Pierre Hannequin (190-1998) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Israeli-American forward Alex Sobel (203-2000, college: Sacred Heart) scored 4 points and 16 rebounds. Besancon left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Metz . It was Metz 's third loss in a row.
