There was no surprise when 7th rankedAix-Maurienne (3-3) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked JA Vichy (6-1) 97-75 on Friday. Vichy made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Jordan Shepherd (193-1997, college: California) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Nolan Kingue (195-2003) helped adding 18 points. Four JA Vichy players scored in double figures. At the losing side Spanish forward Sean Smith (204-1995, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BIG) responded with 9 points and 9 rebounds and Arthur Bruyas (198-2000, agency: BIG) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JA Vichy have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Roanne. Loser Aix-Maurienne dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. They share the position with Antibes.
