There was no surprise when 12th rankedPays Salonais (1-8) lost on the road to eighth ranked Berck (5-3) 80-75 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Berck dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Pays Salonais ' 26 and made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Pays Salonais 38-27 including 17 on the offensive glass. American guard Raijon Kelly (193-1993, college: Angelo St.) nailed 17 points and 4 assists for the winning side and Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (204-1988) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. Nigerian-American guard Michael Nwabuzor (188-1996, college: NMHU) came up with 21 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and guard Camille Jean (188-2002) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for Pays Salonais in the defeat. Pays Salonais' coach Sebastien Cherasse rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Berck have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Tarbes-Lourdes. Pays Salonais lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost.
