Regular Season Round 8: Strasbourg - Boulazac 86-82

There was no surprise when 12th rankedBoulazac Basket (3-6) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked SIG Strasbourg (6-2) 86-82 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strasbourg dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Boulazac Basket 's 32. Strasbourg looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Marcus Keene (178-1995, college: CMU) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 assists. Nigerian center Nelly Joseph (208-2001, college: N.Mexico) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four SIG Strasbourg players scored in double figures. American point guard Angelo Warner (188-1992, college: Morehead St.) produced 23 points and point guard Hugo Robineau (193-2000) added 18 points respectively for the guests. Boulazac Basket's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. SIG Strasbourg have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Boulazac keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. They share it with Limoges.
