Regular Season Round 9: Mondeville - Feytiat 72-53

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Feytiat (4-5) was crushed on the road by eleventh ranked Mondeville (4-5) 72-53 on Saturday. Mondeville made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Feytiat turnovers and outrebounded them 47-29 including 20 on the offensive glass. Cameroonian guard Joelly Belleka (170-1995) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Davina Kasongo (-2003) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Mondeville players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Stepha MBaye (181-1995) with 8 points and 11 rebounds and guard Rachel Clet (161-2001) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Mondeville moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Feytiat. Mondeville will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Feytiat will play against Montbrison (#3) and hope to secure a win.
