Regular Season Round 9: Montbrison - CFBB 76-64

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Montbrison (7-2) defeated at home 13th ranked CFBB (3-6) 76-64 on Saturday. Montbrison looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by CFBB's players. American-Dutch center Michaela Vanderklugt (185-1998, college: CUI) stepped up and scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Clarisse Vergiat chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was Cameroonian guard Joelly Belleka (170-1995) with 19 points and 4 steals and Davina Kasongo (-2003) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Five CFBB players scored in double figures. Montbrison keeps a position of league leader, which they share with La Tronche and PVBC. Loser CFBB dropped to the twelfth place with six games lost. They share the position with Nice. Montbrison will meet Feytiat (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CFBB will play against the league's leader PVBC and hope to secure a win.
