Regular Season Round 17: Metz - Berck 73-79

There was no surprise when 12th rankedMetz (4-13) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Berck (11-6) 79-73 on Friday. Power forward Alexis Thomas (208-1995) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American guard Raijon Kelly (193-1993, college: Angelo St.) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Berck's coach Raphael Pascual allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Kareem Thompson (196-2001, college: ORU) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and Bahamas point guard Dominick Bridgewater (178-2000) scored 12 points and 8 assists. Five Berck and four Metz players scored in double figures. Berck moved-up to third place, which they share with Tours. Loser Metz dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Charleville and Pays Salonais.
