Regular Season Round 17: Vichy - Quimper 91-55

There was no surprise when 18th rankedQuimper UJAP (4-13) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked JA Vichy (11-6) 91-55 on Saturday. Vichy dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Quimper UJAP 's 24. They outrebounded Quimper 42-26 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vichy looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Illan Pietrus stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists for the winners and forward Damien Nseke Ebele (199-2000) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Four JA Vichy players scored in double figures. JA Vichy's coach Dounia Issa felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lucas Thevenard (203-1998) responded with 18 points and American swingman Jamar Abrams (201-1989, college: ECU, agency: Inception Sports) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Vichy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Champagne and Denain-Voltaire. Quimper lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the nineteenth position with 13 games lost.
