Very expected game when 20th rankedVendee Challans (1-18) was defeated at home by sixth ranked JA Vichy (12-7) 79-66 on Friday. Vichy made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Vichy outrebounded Challans 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Jordan Shepherd (193-1997, college: California) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. Forward Damien Nseke Ebele (199-2000) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side forward Mohamad Diop (204-1999) responded with 8 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian-Montenegrin power forward Luka Nikolic (209-1994) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Vichy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Champagne and Denain-Voltaire. Challans lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games.
