There was a small surprise when eleventh rankedBesancon (6-16) defeated at home 8th ranked Saint Vallier (10-12) 75-71 on Friday. Besancon made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Power forward Yannick Nkombou (208-2003) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Swedish forward David Hook (197-1999, college: E.Wyoming) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Sasha Derradji (195-2006) produced 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and American-Ivorian power forward Amadou Sidibe (203-1994, college: Fairfield, agency: Players Group) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Besancon and four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Besancon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eleventh position with 6-16 record, which they share with Charleville and Pays Salonais. Saint Vallier lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Angers.
