Very expected game when 14th rankedLe Portel U21 (4-12) lost on the road to second ranked Monaco U21 (14-2) 99-83 on Saturday. Monaco U21 forced 20 Le Portel U21 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by guard Zakaria Mechergui (195-2006) who scored that evening 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Yssam Moungalla (196-2005) supported him with 23 points and 4 assists. Five Monaco U21 players scored in double figures. Monaco U21's coach Mickael Pivaud allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 25 points and 8 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) by guard Noam Delag (170-2007) did not help to save the game for Le Portel U21 . Abdoul Ba (-2008) added 23 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Monaco U21 have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-2 record behind leader Cholet U21. Loser Le Portel U21 dropped to the thirteenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Nancy U21.
