Regular Season Round 23: Berck - Besancon 89-61

There was no surprise when 11th rankedBesancon (6-17) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked Berck (14-9) 89-61 on Tuesday. Berck made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 60.7 percentage. Berck looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Alexis Thomas (208-1995) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Raijon Kelly (193-1993, college: Angelo St.) helped adding 10 points and 6 assists. Four Berck players scored in double figures. Berck's coach Raphael Pascual felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Yannick Nkombou (208-2003) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Calvin Jubenot (198-1986) scored 4 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Berck moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Besancon dropped to the twelfth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Charleville.
