Regular Season Round 24: Quimper - Vichy 64-73

There was no surprise when 19th rankedQuimper UJAP (6-18) was defeated at home by fifth ranked JA Vichy (15-9) 73-64 . Vichy outrebounded Quimper 48-24 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Jordan Shepherd (193-1997, college: California) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists and naturalized Nigerien center Serge Mourtala (212-1998) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Even 10 points and 8 rebounds by Kenyan-American forward Joel Awich (201-1993, college: Cal Poly) did not help to save the game for Quimper . Guard Christopher Dauby (193-1999) added 9 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vichy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Denain-Voltaire. Quimper lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 18 games lost.
