The most exciting game of round 1 in the NM1 took place in Saint Vallier. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road ofUnion Rennes to Saint Vallier 67-66 on Friday evening. Saint Vallier forced 22 Rennes turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Sasha Derradji (195-2006) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Ivorian power forward Amadou Sidibe (203-1994, college: Fairfield, agency: Players Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. Forward Joffrey Sclear (200-1995) answered with 11 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Madagascar guard Johan Randriamananjara (199-2000) added 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Rennes. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
