There was no surprise when 14th rankedPole France (3-28) was outplayed on the road by seventh ranked Lyon (14-17) 94-62 on Friday. Lyon dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Pole France 's 44. They outrebounded Pole France 35-22 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lyon looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Pole France 's players. The best player for the winners was Maxime Semelet (199-2002) who scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Kareem Thompson (196-2001, college: ORU) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Lyon players scored in double figures. Swingman Matthys Mahop (196-2008) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Yael Masdieu-Reynaert (190-2008) added 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Lyon . They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Loon-Plage. Pole France lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 28 games lost.
