Second Stage Round 5: Pays Salonais - Rennes 64-67

Very predictable result in Sapela where fifth ranked Union Rennes (14-16) edged 12th ranked Pays Salonais (9-22) 67-64 on Friday. The best player for the winners was point guard Warren Racine (188-1995) who scored 16 points and 7 assists. Forward Joffrey Sclear (200-1995) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Union Rennes players scored in double figures. Swingman Cameron Valcy (194-2003) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Camille Jean (188-2002) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Rennes moved-up to fourth place. Pays Salonais at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 22 games lost. Rennes will meet at home Besancon (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pays Salonais will play against Vitre and hope to secure a win.
