There was a minor upset when 10th rankedLourdes-Tarbes (17-13) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (18-13) 85-74 on Friday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Boulogne dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Lourdes-Tarbes ' 26. Boulogne looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Ismael Cadiau (198-1998) who scored 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Ivorian point guard Jean-Francois Kebe (185-1994) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. SO Maritime Boulogne's coach Thomas Drouot used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Alexis Yetna (203-1997, college: Fairfield) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Tom Wiscart Goetz (188-1999) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boulogne keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Tarbes-Lourdes lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth place with 13 games lost.
