Very predictable result when ninth rankedLa Rochelle (17-13) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Vendee Challans (2-28) 83-76 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian Daniel Oladapo (203-2000, college: NCCU) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Tyler Thomas (190-2000, college: Hofstra) chipped in 19 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). La Rochelle's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian-Montenegrin power forward Luka Nikolic (209-1994) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Paul Billong (193-2001) added 10 points and 7 assists respectively. Four Challans players scored in double figures. La Rochelle moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Poitiers and Gries-Souffel. Challans lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 28 lost games.
