Not a big story in a game when 12th rankedAix-Maurienne (16-15) was defeated on the road by second ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (21-10) 89-77 on Tuesday. Pau-Lacq-Orthez looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for guard Fabio Milanese (192-2003) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 assists. American-Jamaican guard Andrew Thelwell (190-2002, college: Iowa) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side guard Lucas Demahis-Ballou (190-2004) responded with 14 points and 6 assists and Spanish forward Sean Smith (204-1995, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BIG) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Five Pau-Lacq-Orthez and four Aix-Maurienne players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pau-Lacq-Orthez have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain second place with 21-10 record having just three points less than leader Roanne. Loser Aix-Maurienne keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Hyeres-Toulon.
