There was no surprise in Fos-sur-Mer where 10th rankedFougeres (19-15) was defeated by third ranked Provence Basket (24-10) 70-55 on Friday. Fos-sur-Mer dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Fougeres ' 26. Fos-sur-Mer looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Mounir Bernaoui (205-1997) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Vincent Sanford (193-1990, college: Dayton, agency: SLN) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. Provence Basket's coach Emmanuel Schmitt used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Kilian Incredule (175-1996) produced 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and Mali center Cheick Soumaoro (205-1990) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the guests. Four Fougeres players scored in double figures. Fos-sur-Mer maintains third position with 24-10 record having four points less than leader Saint Vallier. Loser Fougeres keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Lorient.
