There was an upset when higher rankedVitre (14-19) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Metz (11-24) 79-74 on Friday. Metz looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Tyron Minfir (197-2002) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and guard Alan Robert-Suarez (190-2002) chipped in 24 points. The best for the losing side was American guard Leo DeBruhl (190, college: UC Davis) with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Nigerian-American power forward Fidelis Okereke (198-2002, college: CSUB) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Vitre players scored in double figures. Vitre's coach Fabien Calvez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Metz moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Chartres. Loser Vitre keeps the eighth position with 19 games lost.
